Degenerative Disc Disease
Degenerative disc disease (DDD) is a condition where spinal discs, which act as shock absorbers between vertebrae, lose their strength and hydration over time, leading to various symptoms. While not a disease itself, it's a progressive condition caused by wear and tear, injury, or aging. DDD can lead to pain, stiffness, and other problems as the discs degrade and the bones in the spine rub together.
